My new home
Trying to capture an exposure of the new moon, and the alignment of Jupiter to the right. I get big bright dots, and a lovely cool temperature sky, but nothing defined.
Stars at night, seen through a slightly overcast sky in northern Washington state.
Olympic Mountain Range looking West, towards Seattle.
Orion’s Belt in Western Washington skies
Upstate Washington. A dry desert tableau. It snows in the mountains while just 20 miles away its drier than a dead rat’s mouth.
The earth being made.

A human being is a part of a whole, called by us ‘universe’, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest… a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. — Albert Einstein (via physicsandchemistryrevision)
